My water bottle leaked in my bag this morning soaking my 2 phones. What annoys me is I have a Switcheasy Rebel Serpent case that I lost the little plastic plug that covers the power connector at the weekend and this is where it seems to have got in. The power connector has loads of green stuff bubbling out where it was shorting. I've dried it out but the phone now constantly moans that there is an uncompatible device connected

Phones aren't supposed to bleed green goo. On the positive side, if its powering on to a state where it thinks there might be a device connected, it should be fixable I'd imagine.

Years ago when my water cooled pc leaked onto the usb header windows did try and locate drivers for it!

If a device gets wet, turn it off, take the battery out and leave it somewhere warm. Then either clean the connector up, or get a repair place to do it.

Its working fine, posting from it now. Only prob is I keep getting those warning messages. I'm just hoping it will charge fine.

It's a work phone :(

My D600 survived being dropped in a cup of hot tea. When dried out only suffered minimal tea stains behind the screen :)

Water is not the problem. Power is the problem. If a phone gets wet rmove the power and dry it out. Properly

Dropping phone in the morning and claiming its dry later the same day is not drying it properly leave it with no power(inc battery) for at least 2 days. the only problem may be with the touch screen.

but removing the battery on an iphone is as difficult as wrestling a granite octopus.

it's charging fine, I left it switched off over night but still have the same problem as yesterday. The most annoying thing i've found so far is when the error message appears it stops playing music, I have to click no then unplug and and re-connect my headphones.
