How weird is this 5850 related

ok so been playing around with my new direct cu top 5850

at stock defualt eunigene gave me 29.5-29.9 FPS over 5 runs install asus smartdoctor that avarage jumps to 31.3-31.9 over 5 runs

smart doctor settings are the same as CCC all at stock, so why does this **** piece of software than causes some of my games to crash give me another nearly 2 FPS in eunigene????????

Sorry just thought i'd share as it's baffling me
