How well does windows work with bootcamp?

It runs natively.

In other words, it isn't emulated and runs as if it were on a PC of the same spec.

A lot better than Parallells or VM Ware Fusion.

It's running natively with bootcamp instead of virtually with the others.

Vista runs really well on my CD 2.0Ghz 2GB RAM MacBook under bootcamp, all the drivers install fine and everything works including Aero. It runs as good as a 'PC' laptop would have identical spec except it looks nicer.

If you stick in your Windows XP/Vista CD, reboot, hold down C (boots from the disc), delete every partition and install Windows... You will now have a very expensive Windows laptop!

That is what Boot Camp does...except it allows you to dual boot Windows and Mac OS X :)

So basically bootcamp means u can choose either OS X or Windows to run, and with parallel u can have windows running from os x using a 3rd application?

Yes.

Press a button while booting to choose the OS (native, bootcamp)

or..

Launch VMWare and run Windows while in OS X (Virtual machine)
