Graphics card is lacking a little bit mate. Get something like a GTX260/275 and I think it would be a better all rounder.

hey guys atm im running at 1440x900 but planning on investing in a 24inch 1680x1050 LCD monitor, I had to edit the origional post because i thought my mobo was AM2 but just noticed on the box it says AM3 Ready, Happy days =D

i think im deffo gonna upgrade to either...

XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890
or
XFX GeForce GTX 275

i prefer XFX as you can see :P, which of these 2 would preform best?

24" should be 1920 X1080 at least and I would go 4890 over 275, cheaper and just as fast. 5850 if you want Dx11.:)

Depends. Some of the 260's can be had cheap as chips but with the 285 for example I whole heartedly agree with you.
