How would you do this?

Are these cases readily available.
If they are, I would consider cutting my losses & getting a new one.
Unless you are going to do the work yourself, someone will take £100 of you to fix the holes.

I know it will not be cheap, but I like the case and though it would be a good learning curve to give it a go.

I also have a few other ideas that might work but will save them for the build. ;)

Best bet is to draw it up yourself, then drop it off at a sheet metal place for manufacture. If you give them a drawing it would save a lot of cost and they would be able to turn it around quicker for you. Not a complicated bit of metal for a first try, just make sure your accurate in your measurements and you cant go wrong.

Try googling solidedge they do a nice full featured yet quite simple free 2D draughting package, plenty of others out there as well i guess.
