Upgrading soon, but would like to get some money back on my current stuff (old C2D mobo, 2gb of 667mhz ram, 550w powersupply etc)

Because they have all come from a prebuilt system i have no boxes for them, the only way i can think of is send them off in the boxes of the new stuff i buy, but what if i need to RMA them?

so just buy lots of small little boxes and get loads of bubble wrap and stuff like that?

I sort of had an brief idea about that, where do you get this stuff? post office or somewhere?

Don't worry about him, he's not even sure if he's laughing if that question mark is anything to go by :p

Yes - post offices, stationary shops etc. No doubt some of the more HW knowledgeable boys will be along but I believe some of the items should also be wrapped in anti-static bags? Or am I just thinking of something else?

Seriously, go to Wilkinsons for cheap bubble wrap. But before wrapping your hardware in bubble wrap (which could likely have static), put the hardware in some antistatic bags - then bubble wrap it.

Yup decent packing boxes from the likes of the post office (or if you buy DVD's and books online they will often come in suitable boxes), some filler (bubblewrap/foam balls etc), and for most of the parts some antistatic bags (chances are you can buy them or might be able to get them free from friends etc).

If you lived closer you could have some of my large collection of bubblewrap, jiffy bags and boxes of all sizes. I always keep them, the garage is full of them... maybe it's time for a clearout on MM.
