Hi,

Looking at phoning up about a job, but the guys name is Andrew de Lewandowicz.

How would you pronounce the surname? Don't want to sound like a total fool when asking for him :)

lev ando wits, that's probably what I'd go for, but I wouldn't worry about it, people with difficult names are more than used to correcting people or having it said wrong.

I'd have a stab and say "Le-van-o-vitch" if I had too say it. Think about it in a Russian/Eastern type of accent.

The guy will be used to people getting it wrong, just be polite with something like "Hi, sorry if I pronounce this wrong, I'm trying to call Andrew de Levandovitch"

I know my one is correct as I am Polish and I went to the next English person available in my office, told them to write exactly what they hear!!!!!!!!

How would you pronounce this "Andrew de Lewandowicz"

I'd practice in front of a mirror (with and without my false teeth) if I were you! :-)
