Most likely conservative, although that will depend on who becomes the new leader and how the Brexit is handled (if at all).

A comeback for Lib Dems? :o

I still don't know why people hated them so much after the coalition, it's not as if they had much say in anything.

A lot of it is down to one bad decision; supporting changes in university funding in exchange for a referendum on electoral reform. The backlash over University funding was far higher than anticipated, with people resolutely refusing to see that the new system offered some advantages to go with the drawbacks. And then the referendum turned out to be a con, with the choice on offer being the status quo, or a voting system that nobody (not even those who had to campaign in favour of it) wanted.

Personally, I got over that a long time ago. Clegg got played for a fool by Cameron. But it didn't happen a second time. Take away that mistake, and they did a decent job all things considered.

I think it's highly unlikely that a GE will be called.

This TBH.

The large parties are too vulnerable. If a general election is called and EU membership winds up being the dominant topic, the large parties stand to lose up to 50% of their voters to each other, or to the smaller parties. An election at this moment would be a huge boon for the Lib Dems and UKIP, who's supporters and voters have no division over Europe.

The UK's traditional duopoly favours those who have the power to call a general election. So why would they risk it by calling one any time soon?

At this point in time if a GE was called Monster Raving Loonie seems like a sensible idea.
At least they know they're playing the fool.

Is it the lib dems who are talking about another referendum on joining the eu if they get in?

It is the Lib Dem party's opinion that if they were elected, that would be a clear sign that people don't want to leave the EU. There would be no need for a second referendum. We just wouldn't invoke Article 50 and would continue on as a member of the European Union.

I expect the SNP would support that position too.

Honestly don't know.

Depends who's in charge and what the policies will be.

Second thoughts. If you made me vote today I'd go LibDem. Plus I wanted to see the poll results.

I would consider voting for a party that would invoke Article 50 if they had some sort of coherent plan alongside it.

If the Labour party split I might consider voting for one side or the other. I'm not voting for the current melange of misfits. In it's current state it's too dysfunctional to run anything.

I really don't think that they would have the bottle to call one. The thing is that the two main parties are in meltdown which just leaves the others, most of which would probably be even worse than what we have. I probably wouldn't vote this time.

You've got potential leader changes on major parties, you've got brexit to consider.

It's far too early to know who to vote for. I know that I wouldn't vote for some of the parties such as ukip

Whoever has the best chance of winning the seat who isn't the SNP (as long as they aren't completely offensive to my political views). Although I voted remain for the EU, being a part of the UK is far more important to me than whether or not we are members of the EU.

EDIT: Unfortunately there is no NOT SNP option in the poll ;)

Labour's problems won't fix themselves with a leader change. It's heading one of two ways for them - the party will split, or swathes of MPs will be reselected. Electing a leader that the MPs, party members, supporters, voters, and the unions find appealing is an impossible task.

If you normally support Labour, are worried by the problems the party is suffering, and are pro-EU, the choices are fairly obvious. Lib Dems or the Greens. I guess the Tories could maybe field an appealing candidate, but I find that less likely.
