Budget £2200
Must last around 3 years.

Pile of crap :D

Nah it's great although I would never ever ever pay that much for a headset.

Ditto, ridiculous price for a headset, get a cheaper headset and use the extra dosh to get an even better speaker system..what i would do.

+tuniq tower 120
I haven't heard or seen many good things about the zalman only going by graphs etc
and asking around. Before i got my tuniq tower i saw a lot of 9700 being + 15 c above the tuniq in some cases.
Sure it's perfectly good but nowhere near the tuniq towers league
nothing is apart from the Noctua NH-U12F Scythe Ninja and the Titans.
I'd definately get a tuniq at £35 anyday over the zalman.

Yeah, all looks good, apart from as people said, the zalman cooler could be replaced...they're v. expensive, aren't as quiet as zalman proclaim them to be, and AFAIK don't perform as well as the HSF heavyweights at the moment. Also, just under £100 for a headset seems a little overkill.

If you wanted to save a little money, things like the case could be replaced (the PC-7's are still awesome cases for about 1/3 the price), and you could look at other HDD's, but nothing to major to change.

It really isn't. You get what you pay for.

Plus some decent speakers. Extremely nice, quiet rig.

Edit - Add me to MSN if you have any questions.

Thanks for all your replies!! I have £100 to blow and I love my music and gaming so I think the headset is to stay lol. Plus I’m off to uni so a decent headset is essential. Looked at all the reviews and they all say that the headset is great.

Thanks for the input on the CPU cooler will be changing that :). I have a PC-7 at the moment and it’s so nice! I’m going for the v2000b as I like the Idea of huge amounts of room for the 8800 and cooling.

Really want Dual monitors as I will be studying Games Design. I also have keyboard/mouse.

Cheers for all your input guys!
