Hows this build? [GAMING]

The GTX 770 isn't a good choice unless you need an nvidia GPU for a specific reason. You could get 2x7950s for the same price.

Not a bad spec atall

Though personally id go for a 7970, they are cheaper, just as fast and have enough VRAM for BF4. :D

I would also change that case, £200 for a case is a lot considering the (superior) 750D is only £135.

I've just saved you £215, no need to thank me! :D

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus HD 7970 DirectCU II TOP 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **FREE SHIPPING** £227.99
1 x Corsair Obsidian 750D Full Tower Case - Black (CC-9011035-WW) £134.99
Total : £362.98 (includes shipping : FREE).

£380 is a lot to pay for a 770. For the price you could get two 7950s with a boat load of games and free shipping on your whole order:

YOUR BASKET
2 x HIS HD 7950 IceQ BOOST 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H795QC3G2M) **FREE SHIPPING** £185.99 (£371.98)
Total : £371.98 (includes shipping : FREE).

The case seems excessively large for what you're putting in it. If you like the Phantom design, you could save yourself £100 by going for the 530 instead.

YOUR BASKET
1 x NZXT Phantom 530 Full Tower Gaming Case - White £104.99
Total : £116.09 (includes shipping : £9.25).

You may also want to get some case fans.

EDIT: Or you could follow Doomed's advice and use the money he saved you to upgrade to this lovely monitor:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus SonicMaster MX299Q 29" Ultra Widescreen Ultra Slim Bezel LED Monitor - Black with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower Speakers £399.95
Total : £411.95 (includes shipping : £10.00).

How does the 7970 compare to 2 7950s? Also I like the NZXT style cases over the 750D. :)

How does the 7950s compare to a 770? Also the Phantom is saying pre order, when will it be out? That monitors to wide lol.

With the question of cross fire sadly it is has nothing to do with the cards and everything to do with the game and how well it is coded for the use of crossfire.

2x7950s will beat any single GPU.

A 7970 will trade blows with a 770 depending on the game, but is ahead when overclocked, has more VRAM, and is over £100 cheaper.

That's the best part :D It's so awesome. Anyway, to each their own, I suppose. You could get a 1440p monitor for around the same price.

You'll have to contact OcUK about the case.

Two 7950s will beat a single 770 no problem, although Crossfire is not without potential issues. If you want to stick to a single GPU I'd either go down in price to a 7970 or up to a 780, e.g:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gainward GeForce GTX 780 Phantom 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £479.99
Total : £491.39 (includes shipping : £9.50).

So using 2 7950s on some games may not be as good as maybe a single 7970?

How does this 780 compare with the 780 you posted? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-114-GI

Even then, you can disable X-fire for games and run only one GPU. The 7950 is more than capable for games at the moment, so running them single for some games is no issue.

However they're only a few games which have issues, 90% are OK.

Any popular games you can think of so I have a small idea?

RAGE can't use SLI - so possibly not Crossfire too, but it runs fine maxed out on a 7950. All the latest games run fine, and basically anything older will run on a single 7950 without an issue.

Still think that my spec was better with dual HD 7970's and a case that showed off the internals a bit nicer was better, I would also plum for an external DVD drive as its a gaming PC 99.9% of your games will be DLC and it will just sit there unloved.

You suggesting 2 of these? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-273-AS, also the NZXT Phantom 530 from the other one I had has a bigger window, so will show it of a little better. The external DVD Drive is a great idea will defo be doing that.

Also is this still going if you buy 2 HD 7900 series graphic cards, 6 free games?
