hows this coffee maker?

The Classic used to semi-regularly drop down to about £169. Are the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" worth a punt? £130 or so.

We offer open box, customer returned and warehouse damaged merchandise at reduced prices with the benefits of Amazon.co.uk fulfillment and customer service.

Had mine a year or so now, love it, takes a little practice to perfect but makes lovely coffee.

If you want a coffee maker that makes good coffee, get the Gaggia Classic. If you want one that looks pretty and matches your current kitchen electronics, get the one you posted :p

The wife went to visit a good friend in Spain and fell in love with her 'Nespresso Krups Essenza'.

I picked one up for her birthday and, I have to say, I never thought I would be able to make coffee this good at home. You can buy a pack with an external milk frother... pour that into this coffee and an angel reaches down from heaven and touches your mouth!

Needless to say, it's highly recommended... God agrees

What's the point in buying a coffee maker if you cannot use your own ground coffee and have to buy ridiculously over priced packets of coffee? You might as well just drink instant coffee.

I got that delonghi for 100 quid in sale a few weeks ago and it makes a really nice cup of coffee...get a burr grinder to make sure you get a good fine grind and away you go

I have just been using Lavazza's espresso beans and you get a good crema

I was on a budget so had to hunt and was happy to get it for 100 notes

I'm glad that you are happy with it. But this is a terribly poor recommendation for someone who wants a real coffee maker.

Gaggia Classic is fantastic I have one at home.

Stelly

My gaggia classic must be 10+ years old now and still going strong, during my ownership the only parts that have needed replaced are the head Disc and shower disc - Both have been replaced two / three times costing around £15 a pop... But it's used frequently.

I'm currently buying our beans from monmouth coffee in london, they offer a mail order service and offer an espresso blend which I'd highly recommend!

How easy is that classic to use? I am considering one for when I move house would be nice to have a decent coffee machine. How long does it take to make a cup? Easy to clean? etc..etc..

About 30 seconds.

Clean? I wipe down after every use and every few months I flush through the innards with cleaning stuff.

Absolutely agree!

We've got a pod machine at work which cost in the region of £150, but I'd swear my loose coffee filter machine at home which cost a fraction of that price makes a far better cup.

i would avoid a nespresso machine just so i dont have to queue for them with people who have their heads up their arses.

went looking at them in selfridges in london and the people around them... i would punch one of them. they even had a ticket systel like that at the meat counter in asda.
