HP Elite Book 8570p

It's the Core i7-3520M version with 4gb ram, 180gb ssd drive and windows 7 Pro (don't want 8, so not a problem).

Are they any good? I notice they have displayport and not hdmi. I understand you can get a displayport > hdmi lead for my tv. Will this transmit audio as well as video so I just need 1 lead to put films on my tv?

Just wanting a solid dependable laptop that will last a good few years, don't play games or do anything that intensive really and not interested in all these latest touchscreen/convertible devices.

I have a different model EliteBook and its superb

yes the DP to HDMI cables do transmit audio

Cheers picked it up today for 375 brand new. Well chuffed, seems very well built.

Thanks ill grab a cable then. Would I benefit from a branded cable or will a 5 quid ebay one do?
