Anyone seen much info around for these?

I've just ordered one, for £270. Looks like a nice little machine, comes with 1gb RAM and XP, so I'll upgrade to 2gb as soon as it arrives (only £18 or so).

I've seen a video of the 700 running OSX which looks good, just a lack of sound puts me of that route at the moment.

The Compaq Mini 700 will feature a 10.2 inch screen with flush glass panel and a resolution of 1024×600, an Intel Atom processor, wi-fi, bluetooth and an SD card slot. The Mini 700 comes in both a hard drive and SSD variant. The hard drive will have 60GB of space, while the SSD option will provide you with 8GB or 16GB of space.

Yep, thats the one 704EA.

I work for HP though, so can get it for £270.

"HP Friends and Family" can get it for £283 (if ordered in Dec) if thats of interest? Drop me an email to the email in trust if it helps?
 
I work for HP too, but its listed as £300 on the EPP :S

ahh for that price you can get a samsung NC10 with the same spec with 160GB HDD!

Yep. I'd rather have the HP though as the build quality is far superior.
 
Higher numbers? as in 704EA compared to 702EA?

I think the one in the review (and dissassembly) on the italian site was a 704EL?
 
EDIT - Ignore me....

Mmmmm, very strange. I've noticed before that things have been incorrectly marked on the EPP site. Perhaps we're going to be overcharged for a 702EA :S

I was getting one of these ,well the 1000 after loving the 2133 i had.


Ive just seen though the 2140 which looks exactly what im after, 2133 shell 10" screen and Atom chip.

Do you guys know with working for hp know when this id due for release in the UK?
