The strategy might be to get in quick as soon as it hits the Net before demand outsrips supply then the price gets jacked up.

If the input lag is stated to be about 33-40ms on this monitor I guess its something I should look at getting as I just tested my Samsung 215TW against my laptop and just between them the 215 has about 90ms lag. I think my laptop has about 10-20ms lag over a CRT so im looking at 100ms+ for my monitor atm :mad:
 
Hi all

a couple of questions as i can not join hardforums as i dont have an email address it likes.

Q1 does a ips monitor have just as good blacks as a tft as i have a samsung 2443b monitor and was woundering if it would be better than this monitor.

Q2 does the hp screen have any buzzing as my monitor has a littile bit of a tone comming from it and was hoping the hp did not do this.

cheers for any help as i am after a 3 monitor setup as i have looked at my friends dell u2711 and was not to impressed with it, dont get me wroung the monitor is nice but the problems i found was

1 the coating for the anti glare is way over the top make sit look all gliter and sparkles

2 the text is so small you have to have 20 20 vision to read it hence you need to increes the text size up to 125% from 100% which makes the desktop have less space and defeating the purpose of a 27" monitor

so looking to get 3 24" 1200 res monitors

Initial impressions look good, so without replicating what is already on HardForums;
- Uniformity seems good with no tinting apparent
- Black levels seem reasonable, there doesn't seem to be any very obvious back-light bleed
- Angles & colour reproduction are what you'd expect from a decent IPS panel

Hopefully it'll appear here soon, and a wider selection of samples to see whether the current reviewer was just lucky.

I`m also hoping it doesn`t suffer from the problems that put a lot of people off from buying a screen, through the screen does look good so far but untill more testing is done we won`t know for sure.

One of the things that people want to know for sure about this screen is what the input lag is going to be like because since it doesn`t have wide gamut it should be suited for gaming as long as the input lag doesn`t disappoint.

not available in the uk yet mate ,you could try ringing hp and asking when (ive tryed this and got nowhere )
 
well i just tried hp again and have been told its usually 2 to 3 mouths after USA release, he thought around June:(
