HP NX6110 backlight failure

As above - is it fixable without spending out £280 on a new screen?

Just over 12 months old!

Anybody any experience? TIA! :cool:

My hp has a warranty of 3 years...

No it probably isn't fixable, even if you could get the parts to replace the backlight you probably won't be able to get at it if its anything like mine...

Well that's what I thought - but HP tell me it's only 12 months....

Only cost £386+VAT, so repair is almost uneconomical.

Shame about the lack of warranty.

If its dead anyway it might be worth havign a go at opening it up provided it doesn't cause any damage...
