Hi all,
Looking for a new monitor to replace the aging DGM IPS 24" 1920 x 1200 screen I bought here as a B-grade many years ago, possibly 8 or more.
Screen still working fine, however I use it a lot for work which often involves very large spreadsheets, or working betwen multiple spreadsheets so looking for a little more screen area.
Have tried using laptop as a dual screen, or even with a apre 1920x1080 along side but I can't get into dual screens and when I have multiple apps open, often 20 or more, find it hard to keep track of where everything is.
I fancy a screen update to a larger single, HP seems reasonably priced and at 32" offers simiar DPI to my current screen.
Have considered a ultrawide at this size but not sure my laptop, thinkpad 440s with I5-4300u will support the ultrawide res (has display port) and the cost leaps up significanly for a wider screen.
Also game very occasionally, rocking a 4.4Ghz 2600k and GTX680 so likely will upgrade at least the GPU later down the line. Having played the orignal Doom a long time ago, quite happy on lowish settings these days.
Any other monitors worth considering
Cheers AD
