I work from home and my work HP laptop can tell me how much power it uses, broken down in various ways through HP Power Assistant. I need this information for tax reasons, but I'm a little confused by the information it's giving me - anyone else have/use this?
It seems to imply that it uses virtually the same amount of power Powered Down as it uses when it is on. But when I switch to different power charts for cost breakdown per month it reports only the powered up costs - which make more sense.
But I just can't understand why it would use power (especially so high) when it's powered down (it's never in hibernate).
Any ideas people?
