Hello, I've got a HP Probook 6460b laptop, which does me fine except I'm thinking (hoping) I could upgrade the CPU to one with a HD4000 iGPU.

The CPU at the moment is an Intel i5 2520m (2.5Ghz) with HD3000

I can play most games at low settings OK with the HD3000, just a few which struggle and I reckon the HD4000 should suit me fine.

Looking around I saw some models such as i7-3610QE which according to cpu-upgrade.com is compatible.

Any Laptop Guru's know if this will work before buying?

Many thanks...

First thing first load cpu-z and read the chipset on the laptop
Check cpu compatibillity with that chipset
Check if the laptop comes with a high end cpu, as that I7 will probably have a higher power consumption
You can kill the power delivery on the laptop by overheating and/or to mouch strain on it
