Anyone recently returned anything to them?!

My printer genuinely stopped working, sent an email... They replied saying they would replace it/no hassle - All I had to give was the serial number. I thought they would just swap it with one that they refurbished (happened with my PS3).

They actually delivered the replacement a day early and didn't bother picking up mine... Read the email again and it says

"The objective of this service is to generate a delivery only service in case the defective product. In this case, you can drop the defective unit to official waste disposals for further recycling if available and according to local policies. For more information regarding opening hours or waste disposal locations, kindly refer to your local city office."

Do they do this with everything or just inexpensive products lol?! Seems a bit odd...

Costs them for return delivery, storage and commercial waste disposal. Much cheaper for them to let you dispose of it.

Yup they did this with my officejet. Sent me a new one and then a week later sent a pack with instructions and a fedex number to arrange pickup.

Was all very painless

anyone else click on this thread thinking a company called HP (obviously not hewlett packard) was back in business.... or should i just go to bed now to prevent further embarrassment
