HP Smart Array P410i Controller

Anyone used these before? We have a failed drive on one and need to replace it. Is it as simple as pull the failed drive out and insert the new one or do you have to apply some changes before hand?

Normally yes - is it in a HP ProLiant server?

Have you run the HP ACU (Array Configuration Utility) to confirm the failed drive?

So long as everything is configured for RAID yes you just pull the failed drive and replace. Worth checking in the ACU to ensure everything else is ok first though

Yeah it is a Proliant server and it does display as failed in ACU as the spare drive has taken over.
