I just went on to Hewlett Packard's supoport page to register my latest toy (widescreen TFT), but Vista's defence mechanism kicked in and refuses to let me log in as it says it is not a secure site.

I've never been prevented from going to the dodgiest of other sites before, so does anyone know what it is about HP?

Thanks

Yes that's the one, except now I can't open the page at all. Must be a problem with that site.

It's just vista getting things wrong as usual.
IE7, I think you'll find. Which means XP should get it wrong too.

EDIT: And apparently a very minor bug - should say the certificate has expired. So it's actually HP getting things wrong...

Site won't load at all now. Guess they're having problems.

My default browser it BT's and I also tried IE7, but as they share the same settings, it's not surprsing that they both returned the same message. I tried bringing my internet security settings down a notch but it still wouldn't let me in.

It lets me onto the logon page (haven't tried logging in). Certificate expired on 23/3/07, so that'll be the problem.

So basically Vista stops you from going on a website if the certificate isn't valid? That's crap. Man I'd hate that feature.
