I am looking for a HTPC small as possible, yet powerful to run KODi, 1080p and 4k videos On a 55inch Sony Bravia 55XD9305. Would the Primo Nano Skylake i3 - Intel NUC NUC6i3SYK Barebones Micro PC be the perfect candidate?

id get a Nvidia shield if I were you. or a roku premiere + when they come out in the UK.

the above devices can play ripped 4k HDR films AND 4k streams from netflix where as intel NUC can only play 1080p streams as netflix only supports 4k on a very small number of platforms

New Nvidia Shield rumoured to be announced at CES in January:

As for NUC - Apollo Lake is imminent:

Asrock has a couple of Kaby Lake SFF out:

Looking at (on competitor sites) £303.89 plus you'd have to add RAM, SSD and OS.

As a Shield owner, which I use purely as a HTPC (Plex, SPMC, Iplayer etc), for the price and functionality - it is the best out of the box solution.
