HSBC new overdraft t&c's

no, I've a feeling they brought in that any overdraft needs to be reviewed annually, so if you have one it will get reviewed

I'm not getting it, ive had an overdraft for 6/7 years with HSBC, had plenty of letters saying they had reviewed it etc etc, but never charged yet

blame those who think they have a right to spend monetary that isn't thiers without permission and then expect to get away with it scott free...

I got this too, phoned and spoke to them about it. Nothing can be done it seems.
Not all that bothered, 25quid a year for my overdraft facility is worthwhile I reckon.

I had this, I told them I didnt ask for them to review my account and said I would be closing it. I had a call back within 10 minutes advising that although they cant cancel the £25 charge they will reinburse me for the fee I had when I went overdrawn about 6 months prior!

CAB or financial ombudsman, you haven't asked them to review your overdraft

or just leave,

what i did 2 years ago when thay desided to remove my student overdraft with 1 days notice..... now I am much happy..... with a failed bank...

They will have sent you renewed terms and conditions recently, stating that these changes were being implemented. I have had a letter telling me about the t&c change about 2 months ago and more recently a letter telling me about the charge.

I get about 0.1 p interest from my HSBC current account. Was my first account, I'm itching to just scrap it. I never had an overdraft but I would close my account the day after I got their letter.

To let you know how this works: You can have a 'fee free' overdraft increase/renewal once every 6 months. That includes going over limit which is classed as an informal request. If you haven't had a facility agreed or gone over limit in 6 months, go into your nearest branch and they should refund it.
