Hiya,

I just need an online savings account to save up for various things, already have an ISA etc, so just want something where I can add and withdraw online.

The HSBC Online saver the one with the 5.75% AER... do I pay if I withdraw? I can't seem to find any mention of it in the read up :s

The reason i'm asking if they also have a instant access saver with lower rates... just seems weird :p

Cheers,

I have an online saver with HSBC. You don't get any interest on it if you make a withdrawal in that month.

This is true, it's a good saver, I have made about £30 in 6 months :D

They've been really slow doing the whole idendification thing with me. It's taking them ages to send the letters back to me etc...

Is the sacrificed interest for 30days or for the calender month?

Cheers

Cheers fellas, sounds ideal then :D

I don't particulary want it for the interest, but that's an added bonus... just prefer to move my money around otherwise I can't save :o

Open an Icesave account. 5.95% & intrest free withdrawals & a decent enough site (ICICI now has a slightly better rate but rubbish online banking apparently),

I already have a student current account, and a CC with em. Just wanted another 'account' to transfer money to every month to save up for some stuff. Whereby I'll have quick access to the money should I need, but I can't withdraw it at a cash point! If your with me.

Signed up anyway :)

If you think you'll be taking money out every month you're probably better with the Instant Access Savings a/c. Bit better interest than the student account and it doesnt make a difference if you take any money out.

Say if you had £2000 in the account, how much would you make a month of that in interest per month?
