.htaccess on a Windows Server

Hi all,

I am currently doing a "proof of concept" type project that involves me getting .htaccess up and running on a Windows 2003 Server. I know that HSphere uses .htaccess in conjunction with IIS on one of our Windows 2000 Servers but the requirement would be to deploy this server outside of our HSphere hosting environment.

Can anyone point me in the right direction in order to configure .htaccess authentication with IIS?

Thanks in advance!

Dan.

Thanks for the link that looks good!

Basically the solution in question will be hosted under SPLA on a Windows Server 2003 system, in order to minimise the ongoing cost of SPLA we are trying to avoid the use of authenticated Windows users (hence the need for .htaccess) but still provide basic authentication to secure areas of the site that will be hosted.
