HTC Desire Data issue

Bit of an annoying issue which has cropped up in the last few weeks for me. Whilst using 'H', '3G' or 'G' to browse the internet, after a while I will not be able to load any more pages and the data transfer icon is just stuck on upload (see below). I then will not be able to transfer any data at all, until I wait either a few minutes or enable/disable air plane mode. It does this on H, 3G and G and it's starting to get on my nerves...

Has anyone come across this issue before?

Phone is a HTC Desire, Running latest HTC 2.2 Update (Build 2.10.405.2)

Yes i have.. It was down to a Dodgy cell tower for me..

H would be ok. 3G No data, G data again.. Orange tracked down the tower after me phoning them several times.. Suggest you do the same.

I'd hazard a bet that you are on Orange like me because I'm seeing exactly the same but in Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire

I have no data connection at all until I enable / disable plane mode also on a Desire.

I read somewhere last week that they are having issues due to trying to incorporate the T-Mobile into their own currently but I could be wrong.

Haven't phoned CS yet but will if it keeps up much longer.

I'm actually with T-Mobile... I shall be calling them this evening as I'm getting fed up now.

I get this all the time with my Desire on Orange. Doubt its a problem with the tower as it happens to me in various places round England and Scotland.

Slight bump, reported this to T-Mobile who aren't interested and it happens all over the place. It is utterly infuriating especially when I need to send an email.

Has anyone come across this issue before and managed to resolve it?

On Orange, with plain HTC 2.2 rom and it happens to me, yet with my 3 sim in it doesn't.

As it happens in various places it's not a particular tower (unless its a common fault)
and it's not the ROM as I don't have the Orange ROM and it's not the hardware as it only happens on Orange.

I've just learnt to live with it as I doubt Orange will give a hoot

I get this ALL THE TIME and it drives me insane. It just sits and does NOTHING. It's SO annoying. Sometimes it'll eventually work, sometimes i need to cycle the mobile data on and off, its just the most annoying thing ever.

I've had it happen on my Hero and now my Desire HD, so it's either an android thing, a HTC thing or a network thing.

Hey guys, I can't promise miracles or a fix but I can try some stuff from within. Are you by any chance on the network share currently? I can check our internal problem system at orange to see if there are any notes regarding phone OS/radio versions if you have them available.
