Hi guys, I collected my desire today from cpw after I had a problem where the phone reset itself when using the camera.

I've had it on charge since collecting with sim back in and camera seems to be working fine again. Problem now is that it won't connect to the internet. Connects to Orange fine and I can make and receive calls but anything data related I get a message saying you must enable mobile networks. All these settings are enabled and I've restarted phone etc.

So at the moment I cant access internet, set up email accounts or anything like that.

I was using the SIM card in my old nokia E71 before I got this back and that was working fine, but could it be SIM related?

Anybody got any suggestions to what could be the problem, may have to go back to shop tomorrow!:(

Could be SIM related and require a phone call to Orange.

However, in the meantime I would recommend Googling for "HTC Desire APN Settings Orange"

Enter the APN settings that look correct from the Google Search into the APN settings, found in Settings -> Wireless and networks -> Mobile Networks.

What a tit! I went to the APN settings and nothing was selected there, put in onto Orange internet and that seems to have done it. Hadn't recognised Access Point Names as a setting to try before. Thanks
