Like a cluts i've just dropped my phone in the road and smashed the screen.

How do I go about repairing it? Can I buy a replacement screen and fit it myself? Or should I find a local phone shop to sort it out?

Any help appreciated.

Wotcha mate. I phoned around a few local shops and was quoted between £80-£120 to replace the screen.

When I posted this thread I didn't realise the (company) phone was insured with Protect Your Bubble and after a lot of messing around (their customer services were awful) I got it sorted.

I dropped it in the road again the other week, just a tiny scratch this time....phew! :)

cheers for the advice. I have a halifax reward account and they have phone insurance on there with a £50 excess, might speak to them but depends if they have to send the phone away for weeks haha I'd rather pay a bit more and get a screen done on the day.

I done that, turn around was 5 days tops... was very impressed!!

Is it the digitaliser or the actual LCD?

I replaced a digitaliser on a HTC Wildfire the other week. Wasn't too hard!
Just check youtube for a tutorial and I found a replacement digitaliser for £10.
To get to it i had to take out the LCD so cant see it being to hard.
