Htc desire updating help??

please can someone please explain how to install opendesire onto my desire.

i have downloaded opendesire_v1.6-prerelease2
my phone is unbranded and the network is orange

firmware version is 2.1
baseband 32

you need to root before you can install any custom roms.

when i rooted mine i used this guide

once rooted, i use fake flash (download from xda dev) to get into recovery (no pc required) and have the rom .zip in the root of my sd card.

nah its simple if you follow the instructions

you only need a gold card if you have a branded phone
