I've got a T-Mobile G2 Touch (Hero) and getting in touch with anyone using it is a real struggle. Calls drop out and often don't connect in the first place - I often just get a few seconds silence and a bleep to tell me that the call hasn't even got through to the "ringing" stage. Texts often fail to send, and connecting to HSPDA/GPRS is nigh on impossible.

I've had the phone since November, and it's always had these problems, but they seem to have intensified recently. Would T-Mobile change the phone, or is it way out of the time-limit for doing that? Can anyone offer some technical advice? I've got the latest official ROM on it.

Cheers :)

ive also had similar problems with my hero ever since i got it. reading around it seems you either have it or you dont

id like to echo that ive had no such problem with my hero.

No issues here either.

It sounds like it could be a network issue rather than a hardware problem if it's struggling to find a decent signal or dropping calls. I'm by no means an expert but it does seem like a possibility.

Just to check - you didn't change any settings in the hidden radio menu did you? Or set it to GSM only?

If neither of these then take it to a T-mobile shop, demo problem and ask for a replacement, sounds broken to me.
