I have an HTC One X (Stock with 4.2.2) with a dead screen and I'm trying to get the photos and phone numbers off it. I do have a backup of the photos and numbers, but its several months old and it would be nice to get the more recent photos off it.
I have tried an app called AF rescue and wifi file explorer with no joy. I'm going to try AF rescue 2 and MyPhoneExplorer tomorrow but if that doesn't work I'm not sure what to do. Annoyingly the one x doesn't support USB mass storage and does nothing other than open a link to HTC sync when I connect it via usb (might try this at my mums house as I don't have a pc and it's a windows app). Edit: HTC sync apparently works on mac's, just not for me last night! I will try again. Double edit: HTC Sync doesn't work if the phone has a screen lock on it.
The other slight problem is with the wifi, which probably isn't helping either. The range is down to a couple of meters at best, which is probably hindering my attempts to get data off using the wireless.
Is there any other way to get the data off it anyone can think of?
Thanks in advance.
Dave
