Hi, I'm shortly about to buy a used htc sensation xe, if it comes with gingerbread I understand that I can update (easily?) to ICS. I've heard that this can affect the wifi? What happens then? Will HTC sort it or is there a simple way of doing it myself? Also, if it is sim locked has anyone got info on reliable places to get it unlocked? thanks for looking.

You can update it officially to 4.0.3, and unofficially to 4.4.2. Doing to isn't going cause any problems with the wifi though. If anything goes wrong then you can forget about HTC sorting it, they're all well out of warranty now.
