** HTC VIVE: TRY IT FOR YOURSELF AT OCUK & PRE-ORDER WITH OcUK!! **

How does it compare to the Oculas DK2?

I prefer the Vive as no headache, the controllers are better and the whole thing just feels more substancial. Yes its more but its the one I would buy to be honest, though I am sure we will see more VR headsets before end of the year. :)

I love how easy it works with Steam too. I've not tried setting up the Oculus, but the Vive is so simple, and you just play a game like you normally would on Steam. :)

We are £699.95 plus regular delivery of around £8-£12. :)

Retail shop orders only, you cannot order online, so you have to come to our retail shop I am afraid. :)

If you come in for a test can you call in an order at a later date by phone? I might be able to swing by for a try thanks to some convenient travel plans in a week or two, but I'm not in the position to order one this month(next month or two probably).

That'll be fine tbh dude, this is just to whet your appetite for a future pre-order ;)

probably a dumb question...

but can you play any steam game with the Vive? what about none steam games and movies or even desktop navigation, browser etc like a normal monitor?

in other words can i replace my monitor with this? :D

I wasn't too fussed about this generation due to what I assumed would be poor resolution. May have got it wrong though.

How does the resolution compare to the Samsung gear VR unit? I'm impressed with that to be honest, but is this much better? I believe the 'screens' are similar when using a S7 phone?

Obviously this will have many many more uses, but how pretty does it look and are pixels still visible?

Thanks

I think I might have to try this... Darn good idea.. I often have problems with 3D effects due to some eye problems. I'd almost def need to do more than 20m to know if it works for me as normally 20m is the time to start getting a headache... I survived a 20m 3D film at Orlando but that was some years ago!
