It is amazing, I had a DK1 and DK2 but the Vive is superb.
But its a lot of money.
If you have spare cash, go for it, if you don't, then leave it.
I don't use it all the time, I use it maybe 1/2 hour each day, but it is great fun. It comes down to the money really as £700 is a hell of a lot really.
For me, its an expensive toy that hasn't impacted my normal gaming.. still playing my usual games in the same way as normal.
Am so close to ordering one but after reading the forums theres a few things now putting me off. Ive seen quite a few people selling them ater playing with them for a week or two due to lack of support/games. I understand its early days, why you cant just put it aside for a month goes over my head clearly theres other reasons!. Warranty is also worrying, 1 yeat warranty? Really? After paying 800 quid i would expect more than that considering the dead pixel issue and remote failings...
I donno, am so close to getting it but i fear its gonna be a 1 week toy before going back to my 144hz 1440p gsync. This is coming from a guy that had a dk1 rift, great bit of kit but back then it was so brokkeenn.
big screen beta seems to be the only app so far. you can resize, change distance and curve the screen. problem is the res is too pixelated when trying to navigate windows. picture seems ok when watching a film, might as well sit closer to normal screen though. got slightly excited when sbs 3d was in the update yesterday...didn't work properly though!Anyone know any good apps for playing videos (mkv etc) with resizeable screen? Looked into Virtual Desktop but didn't like the way that screens are limited by physical monitors.
