HTC wildfire

i am looking to root my HTC Wildfire, all i want to be able to do is use root only apps from the market, i dont need any custom rom.

what is the quickest, safest and easiest way to do this?

I heard that you cant root if you have 2.2.1 update. So better look in to that. I am interested and keepin n eye on this as well.

Go on to xda developers, and check out the Wildfire forum there. It will be under Android Development on the Wildfire sub-forum.

Can't give anymore help than that, as I'm on a DHD/Sensation.

thats the version i have, will unrevoked do it?

apparently my HBOOT driver is locked
