You wont need the external GPU on the Intel.

A saving of £20 then.........I haven't used the internal Intel GPU before hence why I added the HD5450 which I have used and works extremely well. Its an option if the OP wants it.

I am running 3 HTPC's at the moment and all use AMD GPU's.

funny you say that, I dont think that cooler is compatible with the CPU that ive chosen anyway.

Which cooler would you choose for AMD A8 7600? is it even worth changing it? doesnt it come with a stock fan? I was looking for something quieter that was all...

What type of socket does the AMD use? If you click on the cooler link it will show you what is supported.

actually a decent graphics card, either onboard or dedicated will enable u to use madvr with some programs, and it does improve image quality... as does the tweaks and things you can do with amd drivers too, useful for wmc tv where u cant change much.

cooler wise id recommend a tower cooler, big as you can get but still fit in the case, think ive got a scythe mini ninja in mine.

amd stuff should be fine for htpc stuff, its rarely demanding.
