Htpc build ideas

I decided to build myself a new htpc

Not thought of any sort of budget yet

I do like the silverstone lascala l17 case plenty of room

I haven't built any pcs in a long time

I would like to be able to play 3d blu ray movies to my tv

Not sure what I need to do this

Must be quick not to loud output full 1080p also full lossless audio to my amp

Also I would like to get a good few years out of it

Not decided on the os win 7 or 8

Would want ssd drive boot quick

I've already got a spare hd 2tb

No keyboard or mouse needed
Any help please

I'm just don't seem to understand the 3d

Does a pc use software to decode the 3d or is it hardware


Ps I just visited your link you had home cinema a bit longer than me

I got mine in 1989 but my father stated a few years before me

With the Akai video recorder
