Hi all,

Just want to build an HTPC for myself.

Requirements:
* Room for 2 x 3.5 Disks (Have some Samsung Green 2TB)
* SSD for OS
* HD Audio over HDMI
* Preferably no need for GPU card, possible to use mobo/CPU?
* Case height limited to 14cm (can always put it on its side)
* Blu-Ray


I will be using it to play MKV, ISO, BDISO via existing AV equipment. This will be replacing a Med8tor (which I will re-house upstairs).

Could anyone give me a spec please?

I'd like to keep as inexpensive as possible.

Do you actually need an OS? Will spec again later once the "this week only deals" have changed, but what about something along these lines?

I would look at a Microserver with a 6450, I use one with XBMC and 1080 .mkv files and it works flawlessly. You can get one for less then £100 with cashback and GPU is around £40 IIRC.

Edit -Just noticed about the height requirement also you will need to upgade the memory but again not that expensive to do.
