HTPC Cases

Hi ya

Wondered if anyone could help me.....

I want to build a HTPC desktop case system to use with my TV. I will probably end up having it as my main system in a tower case later on but for now and probably for the forseable future its got to be desktop in bedroom under the LCD HD TV for gaming, recording TV, general PC use etc.

I wanted to have a HDMI output with sound to the TV from the VGA card.


I was planning an all AMD system, AM3 4 core black edition. 4Gb 1600 ram with the ATI 5870 graphics card.

But I dont think it will fit in the case I wanted........

I think its too long and will hit the drive bays........


What would you guys do? Not aim for that graphics and maybe SLI 2 4870's for same price? or get a different case, but which one???????

Have you considered one or a pair of 5770 cards as they are a fair bit shorter than the 5870

Also, SLI is for nvidia cards, its crossfire for ATI

Sorry I know this but im old school..... I had two voodoo2 graphics cards in SLI playing quake 2 lol So I just say sli for 2 graphics cards.

5770 graphics cards, do they have a HDMI output with sound?
