I had my HTPC connected via vga and just a 3.5mm audio lead and everything worked well, I could hear audio for every application through the TV. Music, DVD, TV, etc.

However, when I go over to HDMI, I get no sound from DVD only TV through Vista Home Premium.

Any Ideas?

The board is a Gigabyte S775 nForce 630I

Install the nVidia HDMI audio driver (it's on the CD that came with your mobo) and select HDMI as the playback device under Sounds and Audio Devices in the Control Panel.

Cool, although I did the express install when I inserted the CD. Does that not install the HDMI sound drivers?

Someone mentioned that it might be because MC is outputting a DTS signal which the TV can't decode and to alter the settings.
