Don't think there's anything the WD does that the Popcorn hour doesn't, if anything the A110 adds a few useful features (internal harddisk, LAN, component out), but does come at the cost of over double the price.
Popcorn Hour and the WD use the same Sigma chip so performance and support are basically the same. Extra features as Phil99 mentions above. Bear in mind the networking support isn't that quick - a mate has one and gets around 3MB/sec when transferring files to it over Ethernet. With 4GB+ video files that's an issue. It's a lot quicker for me to move the USB HDD to the PC and back again...
