HTPC Spec

Need some help specing up a HTPC.

Main areas I'm unsure about are processor, motherboard and graphics.

How powerful does the processor and graphics card need to be for high def video?

I was thinking:

Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400

Asus ATI Radeon HD3650

prcoesspr and gfx dont have to be that powerfull at all. if you building micro atx its all in the board choice. mobos like this with the 780g chipset

have built in hd decoders. soo you dont even need a dedicated gfx card at all.

As above Mobo with CPU

The 780g is basically a 3450 perfect for playback & even gaming & if you really need more power you can boost your graphics easily by sticking a 3450 or 3470 in hybrid crossfire. Which are available in low profile passive form perfect for HTPC.
