hi there, just wandering if this would be ok to use as a htpc with xbmc?

I haven't really looked into xbmc as ive always had western digital media players.....

im after something that is portable , which can be taken around with me....

The NUC gets suggested quite a bit over on the XBMC forums - it'll be fine for 2D 1080p, and I believe it supports bit-streaming TrueHD via the HDMI too.

The celron model you linked is supposed to absolutely fine with 1080p. I'd still prob get at the i3 model at least just to have the extra bit of grunt.
