Yes, complete garbage considering every person so far I've seen with one is *EASILY* hitting 4.5GHZ, with not trying. Most are hitting 4.8+ with a tiny bit of effort.

I'll believe it when I see consumers hitting those clocks Prime/LinX stable, not reviewers. I love it when people say it *easily* hits a certain clock.... I remember Nehalem was supposed to *easily* hit about 4.4Ghz stable.

It will be interesting to see if Intel release any sub £125 K series CPUs. Even the article says the following:

Most of those I've read aren't reviewers, instead they're simply regular folks who managed to source one (they are posting on forums). Most review sites are still under NDA. A lot of the guys on XS forums are from asia, and they've already got them.
They had to buy them too, and one guy even showed pictures of them at his local store. Hardly golden sample review copies.
And, once again, even if I get 4.5GHZ, they run cooler and are faster clock for clock anyway.
Question is (and purely from a gaming perspective) do we need anything better than the core i7?

I hope 4.5ghz ocuk bundles appear, but would be the icing on the cake if we see ocuk do some 5ghz bundles my only concern would be if we see/hear of the similar overheating issues from current core i7 @ 4ghz ocuk bundles, I recall many having issues saying 4ghz seemed to be too high and stability was fine at 3.8ghz. Obviously could be other issues but still a concern.

I'd be shocked if 4.5GHZ (or thereabouts) wasn't what OCUK offered. Either way, it'll be an interesting period for us as buyers.
Have to agree a bit. Even the i5 I have is perfectly fine for now. SB should bring some good improvements on efficiency but that doesn't matter so much for gamers really.
