Well heres how the story goes bought p5k deluxe lapped q6600 b3 installed everything back back started the pc it ran for like 1 minute but the screen was black so i checked everything out, took everything out connected back everything outside the case (benchmarking position) still the same.

So eventually i thought my cpu was gone for some reason. or maybe the mob was faulty tried with but i tried with old mob and it still was the same. so new motherboard was kk if it was not it would worked on old one.

So i bough new q6600 g0 x38 maximus formula two 3870xt.

everything just arrived few hours before.
So i installed everything and hit the power button and i could not believe it ran for 1 min / 30 sec screen is black and it reboots it self and goes in a loops.

What it could be why it does that ? got really annoyed

*banging my head against the wall *

Please help as i don't know what to do anymore :(

well psu fan is spinning and it powers all other fans so i assume its kk it could be aether ram or hardrive or ram im so desperate im considering to bring the pc to pc world tomorrow :(

Yeah like jak said I think the PSU might be the problem. Unless You've got a faulty on/off switch on your case but I don't think it' be showing symptoms like that even if it did

well i dont know what do to could rma the hardrive and psu

edit: there is one more thing i could do check if one of ram sticks are dead if this does not help then i don't know

kk checked every ram stick still the same thing

2 things left hardrive or psu

edit: i cant even see bios and bios is in the motherboard so can you boot bios without hardrive?

Okay, you're going to have to take it back to basics. Which will mean stripping everything out, then only installing the CPU, 1 stick of RAM, the HDD, 1 optical drive, 1 GFX card. Nothing else and see if it will boot.

Also, do you have a speaker plugged into the motherboard? Are you getting any beeps? Is there an LCD panel on the board? If so, what is it displaying?

Before you do all that, as asked above, what make and model is the PSU?

By far the most common for black screens is failing to connect all the power connectors (specifically the CPU aux power block) but assuming you have not overlooked that on two different builds, have you tried to boot without a graphics card and see if you get beep errors?

RAM can give you boot troubles if it requires a voltage much higher than the default (1.8v) but it will usually boot fine on 1 stick and let you into the bios.

What is the PSU?

Silly question maybe but the CMOS clear is not stuck in clear and the backpanel button is not pressed in, right? Many Intel chipsets will do a single reboot loop after BIOS changes and though I have never tried it, if the CMOS clear was jammed it might go into an endless reboot cycle.

chassis on default clrtc_sw is on enable when i took pci1 and pci2 power supply power connectors from graphics card i did not get long beep

psu is ocz 700w

lcd panel shows: cpu init

PSU is certainly a good one and powerful enough, assuming it's not faulty you can nearly rule it out.

Try as I suggested a barebones build. Take everything out of the case and only install the following...

CPU, 1 stick RAM (1st slot), 1 GFX card (top slot), 1 HDD, 1 Optical and nothing else for the moment.

Leave it outside the case and see what happens. Let us know the outcome and we can progress from there...

Remove EVERYTHING except, 1 stick of RAM (in slot 1) and 1 Gfx card in the primary PCI-E slot. (No need for HD or ROM yet).
Now try and power up the rig, also the Clear CMOS jumper should be in the DISABLE/NORMAL/DEFAULT possition (check manual to see what PINS need jumpering for this)

clrtc_sw is on enable

Well it should be set too DISABLE

Also make sure any ATX12V power connectors are connected on the mobo and also if the Gfx has any power this also needs to be connected

i did that before was the same thing.

what does it mean cpu init on lcd screen ?

It means Initialising CPU, and this should be a very rapid process.

Are you certain you have attached ALL the connectors to the motherboard? Make sure they are well attached.

crltc_sw is on disable everything is connected still does the same thing and lcd displays cpu init.

could it be that i pulled cpu power connector and now it does not give power to cpu ?
