hey peeps, i have just got another great pc for my birthday and well the main problem is that it dosent work, i got it out of the box and here is the list of specifications:
i5 2500k overclocked to 4.7GHZ (again)
2TB seagate hard drive
upgraded graphics card (cant remember off the top of my head)
gigabyte motherboard (z77 i think?)

i can start the machine up and it will sucsessfully go to the windows 7 loading page then it freezes and goes to bluescreen then it restarts all in one go, i am really annoyed with this becouse i have just got this machine, if any one can help then please do.
thanks

jacob

ok peeps, it looks like it was the companies fualt, when we baught the machine we "ticked" the box for the OS system to be put on the hard drive, by the looks of it there was no OS system, but for some reason there was a windows page that came up, i will keep you posted on what happens becouse i really do like this machine, thanks for the advice (good to know there are people who want to help) should be posting some pics later, there are no lights in the case yet so will have to go out and get some.
thanks

jacob

i have no idea??? unless they tried to install windows 7 and there was a problem and they did not tell us? either way i am glad that we have found the problem, thanks for the advice again

ok peeps, im done for the night scratching my head or i will have no hair left, i have looked through the bios and all programs seem to be in order, then i have looked into the 2TB hard drive and it seems to have a "partitioned" section that the operation system has been saved to, also i have checked that all of the hardware is correctly installed, all seems to be ok.

the machine came overclocked from 3.3GHZ to 4.7GHZ, i had no part in that, then about resetting the CMOS, if i do that then all of the previous settings will be lost and the machine will go back to being 3.3, at the moment all i want to do is send it back becouse i mean, who wants a computer that does not work when they buy it.

then on to the operation system, apparently it was supposed to be already installed, like i have already said, it comes up with the windows screen, then it bluescreens and then it restarts, the funny thing is that when i try and reinstall windows it comes up saying "could not run windows setup becouse it was an NBR"

overall im completly and uttterly shocked that once again another computer company has failed to deliver what they sell, i think im gonna give up for tonight becouse A = its my birthday and also i have other things to do.
thanks people

jacob

ok peeps, day to of head scrathing, i have tried to boot up in safe mode and for some wierd reason it has bluescreened there aswell, its asif the computer is trying not to load the OS becouse it could create a bigger problem, the next wierd thing is that if i take out the graphics card and restart the system and try to load the OS it does the same thing where it freezes BUT it does not bluescreen???, it goes straight to restart, i can try and upload some pictures, i also tried to boot from the "last" well known time, this just made the system restart, i am serioulsy concidering sending in back becouse this is starting to get silly.
thanks

jake

thanks for the help simon, i think i will go the the "CMOS reset" option, im sure all of the people on this forum can help with the overclocking later on in life.

thanks peeps

jake

sparks.... give me a chance, i havent had a chance to upload the pics yet becouse i have been busy, i dont like it that you call me ignorant eather, darael, i WILL upload the pics as soon as possible, in my own time, i will also go for the CMOS reset after taking the pics, i dont like it that people are just commanding, i do like to take my time with these things or they could create more damage.

ok, so here are a long list of pictures that can hopefully help the situation:
first off we have the case turned off, i have not touched or replaced any of internal parts, it is all standard as it came.

Next is the motherboard logo that comes up when started

After that it goes to the windows loading page but then bluescreens

Then after the bluescreen has happened it restarts and i manually go to the bios

well people, i have just been told that i have a 3 year warrenty that comes with these deals:
call out repairs
return back to base for hardware failure or system problems
finally - any part that breaks will be refitted with a new replacment.

i am going to wait until tomorrow for a call out person to come and solve these problems, i know a little about computers but still i dont want to take any risks, i have got a feeling that the company will take the machine back to base and "hopefully" send out another one that works.

However, thank you ever so much for your help people, i do know if there are any other problems or questions then i will talk to you.

thanks

jacob knight

i know what you mean, but i dont want to make any mistakes that could make the warrenty "void", i will say tho that i would like to have ago myself..... going for a meal with the family so see you later.
thanks

jake!

it was 750 and it came custom built
as for the watercooling "price" i just plucked that one out of the air, i can get around that if i sell some of my other items, i just wanted a system that was good and was watercooled to make sure the CPU is safe, as for now a hamster on a wheel is faster then any system of mine, cheers peeps

OK, i have made my mind up, bad cables, dodgy looking PSU, NOT eaven working, im gonna get a refund, this has truly upset me, good money is paid and i get this, after the amount of time my folks spent researching (a lot), thanks for the advice peeps.

Admin please lock this thread.

right, before we all go off collecting ideas i would like to say that until my broken system has been refunded i am not going to look at more computers, i have large amounts of college work to be completed and also family issues to deal with, i never said that i had built computers for 7 years, i said that i have been working with computers for 7 years, however, i do like the long list of conponents for 750, plus water cooling would be good for overclocking.
thanks
