Good decision, he was clearly out of his depth at a club with such ambitions and they simply weren't winning enough games considering how much money he'd had to spend. Makes perfect sense to get rid of him now IMO as it gives the new manager the opportunity to have some input into transfers in January.
For me the only surprise was that he lasted this long.
And Mancini does? he managed a team in a league that lost its best team and othe teams fined and docked points.
