a mate of mine sent me this screen



and basically he puts a cd into his drive ....and then he loads it up opens it and the frogs appear ontop of the icons (this in the cd drive (both drives))

i think its some sort of software but he cant remember any software that had a frog on it so .... thoughts please ????

I have to say something like this happening and not knowing why would drive me hopping mad.;)
 
all cds .... i was on here and the icon (not sure on ie but the icon next to the link in firefox looks familiar no ???? )

Run it through housecall and see what it finds. It's more likely to be classed as spyware rather than a virus, so Norton might not be looking for it.
 
wouldn't be anything to do with his currrent theme would it?

or any icon file type associations as said above....

but cover spyware and virusses fully first.

On a more serious note it's probably not that kosher etc I wouldn't be installing anything if it was my machine.

Sorry about the jokes, haha, was very tired when I posted them :p

turn off system restore

try running Microsoft Defender and NOD32

ditch norton!
