human teleportation

Though it might be physically possible, the idea that your body is effectively destroyed and then a copy made elsewhere doesn't sound too appealing.

ffs they have already teleported an atom from one side of a room to the other, so the way technology advances i reckon it will be here within 50 years :)

Yes...no...maybe...can you repeat the question?

50 years ago they all thought we would have flying cars and robots by now.

Hmm depends how the teleporter functions; Star Trek transporters always terrified me by their definition, you get taken apart on the atomic level, transmitted and reconstituted...

So basically you get killed and a copy of you appears at the other end, nice.

If there was some kind of wormhole or spacefolding involved, wherein you could cross a large relative distance rapidly and still remain integrated, then yes.

if you mean the;

scan human/object, turn human to energy, transmit energy and then turn back into properly configured matter.

no because the energy released would be several megatons of TNT equivalent and the beam fo energy trasmitted a multi 1000Gw death ray.

it's just too risky.

and the other wayh is to scan you >send information then make you again att he other end.

problem with that is you're still on pad 1 and need to be killed.

people wouldn't agree to dying so basically a replica clone could live on.

No they haven't, they have transferred the information/quantum state of one atom across the room to another.

the original atom still exists.
