Got a problem on a Humax 9300T I don't seem to be able to find through Google. Every time we switch on we get a message prompt to rescan for channels and to do a full manual search. If you do a full manual scan (like the message says to) it doesn't clear the message at startup. It just keeps returning and we've done about 4 or 5 rescans now. I think it probably started doing it about 2 months ago when the other Freeview box said there were new channels, but is starting to get annoying now because doing a channel search wipes all our recording presets. Any ideas? Anything I've found about it is 2 or more years old and related to a software update which we've already had way back in the past.

if my memory serves me correctly there was a software update about 2 months ago, However I havnt had this problem, in all seriousness switch it off and on again/leave it for an hour off and see what happens after? are you turning it off at the back at night or just on standby?

Have you done a factory reset, that often sorts out these kinds of things, which can be a pain I realise but that's more than often the cure on the Hummys.

There are also decent Hummy forums with some very knowledgeable people on them who i'm sure will be able to help: http://www.hummy.tv/

No, not been switching it off completely. It usually stays on standby so it can record while we're out. Don't particularly want to do a factory reset if I don't have to. AFAIK it wipes all the programmes that have been recorded as well. Cheers for the link to the forum. Will have a trawl and see what I can bring up.

Happened to be browsing the OTA updates and there was one last night. Seems to have cured it. Bloody lucky to have spotted it when I did; otherwise it would have continued doing it for another year or so until they release the next update.
